Mark Rodney Entertainment is the banner under which the original creative endeavors of Brody Bowman and Ethan DeLeon live. This includes, but is not limited to short films, music videos, and narrative films. It has been a longstanding dream of the two filmmakers to create original feature length films, but creating a movie is no easy task.
Fueled by a desire to see this dream come to life, Brody began working on a script. It had to be something attainable while still telling a compelling story. Young screenwriters are often advised to write what you know. This is exactly what he did. Brody’s entire immediate family has worked in education in some capacity, including himself. He has been working as a part time art teacher for middle school and high school age students. Although it is not the first feature length script Brody has written, it is written to be Mark Rodney Entertainment’s first feature film. With the input from Ethan and other filmmaking piers, the script was completed. Mr. Howard is a family friendly romantic dramady highlighting themes of the serving others over self interest and the value of investing in those around you.
The following is the official longline of the film:
Self-absorbed teacher of the year, Mr Howard, finds himself cornered into teaching summer school and must put aside his summer plans to teach a group of less-than-scholarly students.
Over the years, Brody and Ethan have gained experience producing their own creative projects together, usually in the form of short films. Many of their projects can be found on the Mark Rodney Entertainment YouTube channel. Though these projects are creatively fulfilling, they have not yet presented an opportunity to create a feature length film. They were still missing one vital piece… an audience.
Through fate and mutual connections, they were introduced to the full-time content creator with over four million followers across platforms, Ironheart. Her content based around “rizzing up guys” with pickup lines has earned her the title of “The Rizz Queen” online. She shared the dream of becoming an actress with Brody and Ethan, and it was evident that they could make both dreams a reality by teaming up. Ironheart was cast to play a character named Maggie that is best friends of the titled character, John Howard, played by Brody.
The film is set to begin principle photography in Ontario, Canada in July of 2026. There is currently no legacy film studio behind Mr. Howard funding the movie, meaning it is truly an independent feature film. The fundraiser for Mr. Howard officially launched on April 11th, 2026 and is hosted on Kickstarter. Donors based in the United States may also benefit from tax deductions by giving though the project’s fiscal sponsor, The FIELD. The goal of this fundraising campaign is to raise $150,000 to make this movie. Progress updates and important announcements about the film will be communicated through Mark Rodney Entertainment’s social media channels and the Mr. Howard movie website.
Mark Rodney Entertainment is thrilled to see Mr. Howard come to life.
